Please read these terms carefully before using our services, scheduling maintenance, or enrolling in our flight training programs.

Welcome to MH Aviation. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website, flight training programs, aircraft maintenance services (Part 145), and FBO facilities located at Gen. William Fox Airfield (KWJF). By accessing our website or utilizing our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Please read these Terms carefully. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our services or enroll in our programs.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using our website and services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are enrolling or scheduling services on behalf of an organization or aircraft owner, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and MH Aviation. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.

Flight Training Eligibility

To enroll in our flight training programs, you must:

  • Be at least 16 years old to solo (17 for Private Pilot Certification)
  • Be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language (FAA Requirement)
  • Hold a valid FAA medical certificate appropriate for the rating sought
  • Provide proof of U.S. citizenship or comply with TSA Alien Flight Student Program (AFSP) requirements
  • Possess a valid government-issued photo ID

Maintenance Services (Part 145)

For services provided by our FAA Part 145 Repair Station (#MHAR094E):

  • **Work Scope:** All work will be performed in accordance with current manufacturer maintenance manuals and FAA regulations.
  • **Authorization:** Owners must provide written or verbal authorization for all work performed. Additional discrepancies found during inspection will be communicated for approval before repair.
  • **Parts & Labor:** Estimates are good faith approximations. Final invoices will reflect actual parts and labor used.
  • **Mechanic's Lien:** MH Aviation reserves the right to retain possession of an aircraft under a mechanic's lien until all invoices are paid in full.

Payment Terms

Tuition and Fees

Students and customers are responsible for payment of all tuition, maintenance fees, fuel charges, and associated costs at the time services are rendered unless a prior financing agreement is in place.

  • Credit/debit cards
  • Bank transfers / ACH
  • Financing through approved third-party partners (if applicable)
  • Cash or check (in person at our FBO)

Late Payments & Accounts

Accounts with outstanding balances may be subject to late fees. Flight training or maintenance work may be suspended until the account is brought current. Aircraft left in our hangar/ramp with unpaid balances may accrue storage fees.

Cancellation Policy

Flight Lesson Cancellations

We require at least **24 hours' notice** to cancel or reschedule a flight lesson. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged a cancellation fee equivalent to 1 hour of ground instruction. Weather-related cancellations made by the instructor or due to safety concerns will not incur penalties.

Refunds

  • **Block Rate Funds:** Unused funds on account for block rates are refundable but will be recalculated at the standard hourly rate for hours flown.
  • **Supplies:** Pilot supplies, headsets, and charts are non-refundable once opened or used.

Student & Renter Responsibilities

As a student or aircraft renter, you agree to:

  • Operate aircraft strictly in accordance with the POH and FAA regulations
  • Perform a thorough pre-flight inspection before every flight
  • Report any squawks, incidents, or safety concerns immediately to the maintenance department
  • Treat facilities, staff, and fellow pilots with professional respect
  • Maintain renter's insurance if required by MH Aviation policy

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MH Aviation, its officers, employees, and instructors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or relating to your use of our services.

By participating in flight training or renting aircraft, you acknowledge the inherent risks associated with aviation and agree to release MH Aviation from liability regarding personal injury or property damage, except in cases of gross negligence.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of **California**. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in **Los Angeles County, California**.
